Guaranteed Repairs

The majority of repairs completed at the South Family Jewellers workshop are guaranteed for one year unless otherwise stated. Please note, this guarantee does not apply to bead or pearl restringing. If recommended work is declined at the time of evaluation, we cannot guarantee protection against future damage or breakage.

Cleaning and Inspection

We recommend having your fine jewellery cleaned and inspected at least twice a year. A simple way to remember is by aligning it with special occasions, holidays, or family celebrations. These are great opportunities to have your jewellery polished and looking its best.

At South Family Jewellers, we offer complimentary inspections at both of our workshop locations. Each year, we help customers with thousands of repairs.

Beyond keeping your jewellery looking beautiful, regular inspections can save you money. Our experienced jewellers are trained to spot loose gemstones, worn or bent claws, and other issues that may affect the safety and longevity of your treasured pieces. Preventative maintenance reduces the risk of more extensive and costly repairs down the line.

Our Process, Your Security

You are welcome to visit our showroom anytime for a repair assessment. Whether your jewellery is worth $5 or $50,000, we handle each piece with the utmost care—knowing that its sentimental value far outweighs its price.

All items in our care are fully insured and securely stored in our safes overnight. As part of our process, we provide detailed documentation that includes descriptions, weights, and photographs of your jewellery for complete transparency and peace of mind.

The majority of repairs are carried out in-store. To ensure efficiency and keep costs down for our customers, repairs are not performed while you wait.
